چکیده

Abstract Objectives Rehabilitation of edentulous ridges to promote the insertion dental implants has been key indicator for retaining osseous structures since tooth extraction. Recombinant Bone Morphogenetic Protein-2(rhBMP-2) is exploited bone augmentation due its osteoinductive capacity. The objective study determine effectiveness induction implant placement by rhBMP-2 delivered on beta-tricalcium phosphate graft (?-TCP) and PRF following Results Minimal changes in width crestal relative baseline values were found three months after socket grafting. A loss mesiodistal buccolingual aspects 0.6 ± 0.13 mm 0.5 was found, respectively. While drilling before placement, bone's clinical hardness evaluated through tactile analogous into spruce or white pine wood. Total radiographic filling seen 3 no additional needed during placement. Besides, histology shows residual particles. Therefore, data from this demonstrated that novel combination + ?-TCP mixed with an effect de novo formation can be recommended grafting

Randomized study evaluating recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein-2 for extraction socket augmentation.

BACKGROUND Conventional dentoalveolar osseous reconstruction often involves the use of grafting materials with or without barrier membranes. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of bone induction for the placement of dental implants by two concentrations of recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein-2 (rhBMP-2) delivered on a bioabsorbable collagen sponge (ACS) compared to p...

Accelerators of Osteogenesis by Recombinant Human Bone Morphogenetic Protein-2

Bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) appears to be one of the most promising cytokine and for clinical use in reconstructive surgery for bony defects and augmentation. To evaluate the effect of basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF), FK506, elcatonin, and hyperbaric oxygenation (HBO) on osteoinduction by recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein-2 (rhBMP-2), 2 or 5 μg of rhBMP-2 was implanted int...

Stepwise verification of bone regeneration using recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein-2 in rat fibula model

Objectives The purpose of this study was to introduce our three experiments on bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) and its carriers performed using the critical sized segmental defect (CSD) model in rat fibula and to investigate development of animal models and carriers for more effective bone regeneration. Materials and Methods For the experiments, 14, 16, and 24 rats with CSDs on both fibulae ...

Significance of early CT evaluation after lumbar interbody fusions using recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein-2.

Fusions Using Recombinant Human Bone Morphogenetic Protein-2 Williams et al proposed a radiographic protocol consisting of CT scans obtained at 3, 6, and 12 months, with an additional scanning at 24 months if a solid fusion was not seen earlier in evaluating lumbar interbody fusions (LIF) (with special emphasis on using the recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein-2 [rhBMP-2] as a bone graf...

Recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein-2 and collagen for bone regeneration.

The study reported describes a combination of recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein-2 (rhBMP-2) and collagen (C) to regenerate bone. Unilateral critical-sized defects (CSDs) were prepared in radii of 32 skeletally mature New Zealand white rabbits. Rabbits were divided evenly among four treatments: autograft, absorbable C (Helistat), 35 microg of rhBMP-2 combined with absorbable C (rhBMP-...
